2019 年 9 月 3 日，路透社公開林鄭錄音，當時林鄭對一班商界人士講話，其中一段如下：
「我的生活被天翻地覆……我沒有行街，沒有逛商場，不能去髮廊，不能做任何事……」
（英文原文：My life has been turned upside down… I have not been on the streets, not in the shopping malls, can’t go to a hair salon, can’t do anything…）
