- A case is classified as CONFIRMED when a positive PHLC report is issued (available in ePR or as a hard copy). CONFIRMED patients may be cohorted in the same AIIR for management.

- A case is classified as POSITIVE when repeatable results were obtained on an original sample using 2 different testing platforms AND with sample Ct value <30. POSITIVE patients may be cohorted in the same AIIR for management, pending confirmation by PHLC.
Corresponding comment in our report: Positive by 2 different testing platforms . Please refer to ePR for confirmatory results from PHLC.
- A case is classified as PRELIMINARY POSITIVE when repeatable results were obtained on an original sample using the same testing platform, AND/OR for samples with sample Ct value ≥ 30. PRELIMINARY POSITIVE patients should be put in single isolation in separate AIIRs for management, until they are confirmed by PHLC.
