聽說IB因滙差細適宜做買賣，但有些貨幣會有負利率所以不宜長擺，我的理解正確嗎？請問你
I.只考慮買賣，不多考慮負利率問題?

For me, IB is better for speculating/trading so the horizon of the trade won’t last more than a week or two.

Bear in mind, IB is known of their tight bid/offer spread but they gotta make $ out of us so their charge on forwards/swaps is pretty aggressive, especially some EM CCYs with huge interest rate differential like USD/MXN.

Back to your Qs

  1. Yes I do focus on speculating/trading mainly, and ignoring the -ve interest rate effect

  2. Focus on short term trading (does not mean frequent in & out)

If for 長擺, better go to a bank and do simply FX and roll a fixed deposit or do a Currency Linked Deposit (vanilla FX option)
