手足們，你哋好嗎？
家長們，你哋安全嗎？
喺運動認識嘅好朋友，你哋仲記得我嗎？
進化左嘅香港人，佢哋為自己感到自豪嗎？
經過一年，香港人變得勇敢，面對政權打壓，佢哋有時可能會害怕，會退縮，我哋會諗「點解唔出嚟」、「出去嗰度啦咁先有用」等等大家有唔同嘅思考、思維同策略；但當佢哋知道再唔反抗就再冇機會嘅時候；當佢哋知道再唔反抗，佢哋嘅下一代就會遭受極權統治嘅時候；當佢哋知道再唔反抗，就連書都無得買黎睇嘅時候，今日——反送中一週年，聽起大家識晒唱榮光；由自私變得連結埋一齊；唔識嘅都會有默契咁承接上一句嘅口號嗌埋下一句，一啲都唔容易。
香港人，我為你地而感覺到自豪，但我更加希望睇到嘅係你哋係適當嘅時候響應，例如嚟緊工會嘅聯合簽署，嚟緊區議會搞嘅罷工行動等等，因為——
香港人，你哋只可以前進，已經唔可以退。
香港人，你哋爭取嘅唔係為咗自己，而係為咗身邊嘅人，為咗你哋嘅下一代，又或者之後嘅每一代。

2020 June 9th Anti-Extradition Bill Movement Anniversary
Brothers and Sisters, are you okay?
Parents, are you safe?
For the friends that I’ve met during this movement, do you all still remember me?
For the Hong Kongers who have progressed this far in the movement, do you feel proud?
Over the past year, Hong Kongers have grown to be very brave, facing this regime’s oppression. Sometimes they are scared, and they will retreat. In response, many would ask, “Why don’t they come out?” “Going out to resist is the only useful way,” questioning and doubting our strategy. When Hong Kongers realize that not resisting now may leave us without a chance to do so in the future, resulting in the the next generation having to suffer under authoritarianism, where even books can be banned, they show up, just like what they did in today’s anniversary.
Today, I heard the voices of strangers sing “Glory to Hong Kong” together, where the once notoriously self-centred people came together in one voice and one accord. Those who were unfamiliar with the words still participated, and joined in to shout slogans and rally cries. This is not a sight that you will see on any given day.
Hong Kongers, I feel extremely proud of all og you. However, I hope that you all keep up the spirit and respond to the future bugle calls, like the upcoming one to support the labor union petitions and the District Councils’ strike movement. This is because…
Hong Kongers, you can only push forward. There is no turning back.
Hong Kongers, what you are fighting for is not for yourself, but for those around you, for the next generation, and perhaps even for the generations after that.
Never forget.
